Boudoir Casting Call & Technical Difficulties

Monday, August 10th, 2009

If you missed out on the first round of boudoir sessions, I’m planning two more! Dates are still being set, but the sessions will be in mid-September and early November. Spots are already filling, so if you’re interested, let me know ASAP.In exchange for allowing me to use your images on my website and print portfolio, the session will be free and prints, albums, and calendars are 50% off.

Also you may have noticed that all the images on my blog were missing. I messed up some settings and they all disappeared. I’m working on fixing it, but it may take me a while to go through all of the posts and add the images back.

Coming soon – Eye Candy Sessions!

What are eye candy sessions? It’s my fun name for boudoir sessions, which are sensuous photos. They can range from very tame to wild. It’s all up to you!  Contrary to popular belief, this type of photography is not just for the skinny gals the look like models.  Any woman can look sexy.  As I get closer to launching this division of my business, I’ll be providing more info for you.

I’m looking for a handful of people willing to model for some boudoir sessions. I’m tentatively planning on doing the sessions in late June or July, depending on getting everything ready in the studio. In exchange for allowing me to use a few of your images on my website (and you’ll get to choose which pics I use), you’ll get the session free and the images on a disc for you to print yourself. If you’d like an album as well, you’ll get 50% off. If you’re interested, let me know.

2010spokesmodelpromo

I’m currently looking for Class of 2010 spokesmodels from high schools in Knox, Sevier, Blount, Jefferson, Loudon and Anderson counties. There are only a limited number of positions available, so if you are interested (or know someone that might be!), message me ASAP! Join my facebook group to always get the most current senior info and to participate in the contests: Nicole Hensley Photography Seniors

What spokesmodels do:
All you’ve got to do is hand out your referral cards and promo cards. There will be a one day sale in the spring, and you’ll want to make sure and get your cards out to everyone!

As a spokesmodel you will receive:

  • Full session (no fee) unlimited locations & clothing changes (NO PRINTS INCLUDED). A session will be done January – March of your junior year  and, if needed, you will have another session in the fall of your senior year. You will also be eligible for a session in the spring of your senior year.
  • 5×5 Bound Brag book
  • Online Slideshow
  • Web size/watermarked images for MySpace or Facebook, from your session
  • Custom spokesmodel referral cards with your images
  • 10% off additional purchases on top of any collection discounts
  • Up to 96 wallets for only $5 per set of 8

Spokesmodels can earn -
$10 Cash (paid monthly) or $25 print credit per referral that books and completes a session. Spokesmodels are also eligible for the referral program rewards. To get the referral credit, the person you refer just has to mention you when they book the session.

What’s this referral credit you mentioned?

Glad you asked!

The referral program is open to everyone, spokesmodels, current clients, even non-clients can earn referral credits by sending people my way!

Here’s what you can earn:

  • 5 referrals – $50 gift card
  • 15 referrals – ipod touch or digital camera
  • 25 referrals – Wii or Xbox 360
  • 40 referrals – laptop

Now for the fine print:
A referral counts as a booked and completed paid session. Your friend must give your name as the referral source at the time of booking.
Only one referral credit can be given per paid session, so if more than one of your friends refers you, you can only choose one as your referral source. All prizes are cumulative, so if you referral 40 friends, you will receive all four rewards.
Nicole Hensley Photography reserves the right to substitute rewards of equivalent value depending on availability.

Location, location, location

Sometimes deciding where you want to have your session can be even harder than deciding what you want to wear. The best light for taking portraits occurs within 2 hours after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset. If you need to schedule your session for the middle of the day, you’ll want to consider locations with a lot of open shade.

Here’s a list of some of the location possibilities in the area. This is not a complete list by any means, so if you have something else in mind, that’s completely fine. As you can see, there are tons of options, so we should be able to find the right location for your portraits.

Ijam’s Nature Center & Mead’s Quarry
Downtown Knoxville – Market SquareOld City
